QR code generator
Turn any link into a scannable QR code you can download and print.
Keep the code pointing at one short link. A code that carries a whole contact card gets dense enough that phone cameras give up on it.
What the qr code generator does
The generator encodes whatever you type — a link, a name, an email address, a phone number, or any other short piece of text — into a QR code you can download as a PNG. Type a name and the code carries that name, so a scan shows it as plain text; point it at a URL instead and the scan opens that page. The code is drawn in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.
How to use it
- 1Paste a link, or type the name or text you want the code to carry.
- 2The preview redraws as you type — there is no generate button to press.
- 3Download the PNG and put it on a card, a slide, a poster, or a name badge.
Good to know
- Codes come out at 512px with medium error correction, meaning roughly 15% of the code can be obscured or worn and it still scans.
- Long text makes the code dense enough that phone cameras give up on it — keep it to a short link or a few words.
- No account, no watermark, and no expiry: the PNG is yours and it keeps working offline.
